The Long Line Lead lesson We Won’t Forget

Today was one of those moments every dog owner fears.

We were out in the forest, giving Flynn a little freedom to roam and explore. One second he was sniffing nearby… and the next, he caught the scent of kangaroos and took off straight into the bush.

Within seconds, he was completely out of sight.

Dog Dad ran after him while I stood there holding Sumi (my other dog), heart racing, imagining every possible outcome. What felt like forever later, Flynn finally came sprinting back towards us, safe, happy and completely unaware of the stress he’d caused.

And honestly? It was the biggest reminder of why we believe so strongly in long lines.
